Background
I'm a visual artist working across photography, filmmaking, and painting. My socially engaged practice has developed into a contemporary archive of communities that are often overlooked, exploring themes of cultural heritage, identity and our connection to the landscape. Projects including Youth of the Rural North, Travelling Home and Skate Like a Lass reflect my long-term, socially engaged approach to storytelling.
In 2025, I won the Sony Future Filmmakers Award in Los Angeles for Travelling Home, held a solo exhibition at the Windermere Jetty Museum, and was selected for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Alongside my creative practice, I'm an Honorary Photography Teaching Fellow at the University of Cumbria.

Collaboration is central to my practice, and I aim to capture human stories with honesty, care and respect. Whether working in photography or film, I’m drawn to creating vibrant, intimate and honest work that reflects a genuine sense of place, identity and belonging finding beauty, meaning and connection in the everyday moments and ordinary lives that often go unseen.
