Music Brand Video Production

MI Experts

Music’s an enigma. Why can one brand triumph where another gets lost in the wilderness? What makes one resonate with audiences while their competition falls flat? The reason isn’t always obvious, but it’s there.

Working from our London studio, with a music-savvy director leading every project, we make launch films, brand videos and social campaigns for brands like Fender, Behringer, Korg and more. Films that punch through the noise and rise above the crowd to put you centre stage in the audience’s mind. And keep you there.

What we produce for music brands

Production Formats

Most music brand projects fall into a few formats, and we often deliver several from a single shoot:

Product launch films

Hero films built around a new instrument or device, timed to the launch window and cut for the brand channel, retail screens and PR.

Brand Films

Longer-form work that sets out what the music brand stands for, used for repositioning, anniversaries and category moments.

Artist collaboration content

Films built around an artist's relationship with a product, where the player and the gear share the story.

Social campaigns

Platform-native cutdowns, vertical edits and demo content that keep a product visible between launches. All fully optimised for YouTube, Meta or TikTok.

Product Demo

Walk-throughs that let buyers see and hear the product in use, exploring features and use cases, presented by professionals.

Live performance

Brand-sponsored artist performances from intimate spaces to large venues, streamed live or cafefully edited for your website and social channels.

"You have crafted work that is not only visually stunning, but perfectly encapsulates the story behind the guitar and the journey of its evolution. We have had amazing feedback about the guitar over the last 24 hours, but also about the quality of the content, which is rare."

Jeremy Huffelmann, General Manager

"We’ve been working with gusto for over two years now and it’s been a really good and creative collaboration. We’ve developed, written, and produced close to 50 videos together, all with a focus on honest, down-to-earth storytelling."

How a music brand project runs

Full signal chain

Most music brand projects follow a proven path.

1

We start with the product and launch plan before a director develops a treatment to fit the brief and budget.

2

Pre-production covers casting, locations, any artist liaison and the shoot schedule, all built around your launch window.

3

The shoot is planned to capture the hero film and the social and demo content across the same days.

4

Post runs in-house. We edit, grade, mix sound and add motion or VFX with the director across the cut from first assembly to final master.

5

The hero film and the full set of social cutdowns are ready for the brand channel, paid, retail and PR.

Throughout the whole process you'll be working directly with our team of MI experts, with a dedicated producer being your main point of contact throughout.

Best production company, but...

Why us?

We Know the Gear

We understand the products and the people who play them, from how to shoot an amp so it reads on camera to the way musicians actually talk about the gear they love.

That fluency means every frame is built by people who get the difference between a spec sheet and a sound, so the work lands with players, not just marketers.

Talent Access

Every project has a named director from treatment to final cut, matched to the work rather than slotted in.

We also bring a roster of artists who can put your products in real hands, showcasing them the way the people you're selling to want to see them.

One Studio, Every Format

Concept, shoot and post all run from one London studio, so a launch film and its social cutdowns come from the same edit room and hold a consistent look.

We plan for format from the start. A single shoot yields the hero film, the vertical social cuts and the demo content a launch needs, with no compromise across any of them.

FAQs

How long does a music product launch film take?

It depends on scope, but a launch film typically runs from a few weeks to a couple of months from brief to delivery, covering treatment, shoot, edit, grade and the social cutdowns. We plan the schedule around your launch date so the assets are ready when you need them.

Who directs music brand work at Gusto?

Every project has a music-savvy director attached from treatment through to final cut, chosen to fit the work. You can see the roster and their reels on our directors page.

Can you deliver social cutdowns from the same shoot?

Yes. We plan for format from the start, so one shoot can produce the hero film plus vertical edits, demo clips and platform-native versions for paid and organic. Our social content work covers this in detail.

Do you work with music technology and software brands?

Yes. The software and platform side is a sector in its own right for us. Visit our music tech video production page to find out more.

Do you handle artist collaborations and talent?

Yes. We have produced work built around artist relationships with brands, including Brian May with Vox and Rick Graham with Charvel. Talent liaison is a vital part of how we run a production.

What does a music brand film cost?

The cost depends on the format, the scale of the shoot and the number of deliverables. Once we understand the product, the launch plan and the assets you need, we provide a clear quote.

Are you based in London?

Our studio is in Soho, central London, and we shoot in London, at brand facilities and on location wherever the product needs to be, be it in the UK or overseas. Our London studio page has the details.

Can you film at our factory, showroom or workshop?

Yes. We often shoot where the product is made or displayed, from factory floors and workshops to showrooms and retail spaces. Filming on a brand's own premises adds authenticity and keeps fragile or one-off products in safe hands.
